Hello, my name is Emily Sterling. I am a recent graduate of Lamar University with a Bachelor's degree in Communications with an emphasis in Sports Broadcasting. I started my Master's in Sports Management this fall at the University of Texas in Austin. I have participated in pageants since I was four years old. They have varied from evening gown and sportswear to on stage and sit down interviews and even talent. I have won a number of pageants, last being Miss Beaumont. I utilize my degree in Communications, as well as the many public speaking classes I have taken, to help young people speak passionately about their personal lives, interests, hobbies and platforms. As a sports reporter, you are constantly having to address a crowd of people, so I can understand how nerve-wracking speaking to people can be. Pageants were extremely beneficial to me, especially in this part of my career. So, I am looking forward to teaching you what I learned in my 15 years of pageantry to help achieve your personal aspirations.
